A ballet inspired wedding

A group of wedding professionals worked with this concept to produce the most amazing ideas for this theme.  I loved it so much i had to share some of the photos from http://www.projectwedding.com/blog/2012/05/10/inspired-by-the-ballet/

We have been featured!

We are very lucky that we get to be featured in some of the national wedding magazines along with other press releases ( did you see our Facebook update about our feature in Vogue last October?)

The Wedding Ideas Magazine has been one publication that has been great to us when it comes to featuring our products and this months issue (109) is no exception with 5 different wedding invitations in there – Filigree, Majestic, Dotty, Prestige (with a butterfly) and Snowfall.

Butterfly Wedding Invitations and Stationery

It is common for couples to have a theme for their wedding and common themes are Vintage, Winter, Snowflakes or Pearls, but one that has been popular for many years is Butterflies. Many themes have come and gone and only have a short life, but butterflies it seems are here to stay for a while longer!

Butterflies are delicate and can give a romantic feel to a wedding and are extremely popular for couples getting married in the Spring or Summer, but we have made butterfly invitations for couples getting married in the Autumn or Winter as well. Pastels like Lemon and Pink or bright colours like hot pink or aqua are common for butterfly themes, but as there is a huge choice of colours available. We have had orders for purple, black or red as well. It seems the butterflies are so popular that couples will have them in all colours as they look so pretty.

With butterflies you can sometimes just think pink and pretty and although there are a lot of designs available to that have glitter and gorgeous bows there are more subtle designs available with feather or crystal butterflies or printed designs on a choice of invitation styles.

We have a good selection of butterfly designs to look at and a few are below:

1) Our Simply Butterflies invite with feather butterflies and a matching printed frame around them

2) The Crystal Butterfly with a stunning crystal embellishment on a double layer of satin ribbon.

3) Cherish also have feather butteflies, a personalised plaque and swarovski crystal

Whichever butterfly invitation you choose it is always worth considering getting the full stationery range for the wedding as place cards and Menu’s can be a fantastic decoration to your reception tables and can help bring your theme together.

Filigree Design – Great for a Vintage and Pearl themed Wedding

As our first blog post i thought it would be great to write a bit about our Filigree design.  It is my favourite design and my favourite theme at the moment has to be Vintage. I am loving all the lace and pearls, but mostly the neutral colours like Ivory, Cream, Nude and Taupe. I like colour. I like wearing clothes with some colour and decorating my house in any colour but Magnolia, but when it comes to vintage wedding invitations and stationery i think the freshness that the neutral colours give looks great. It always looks sophisticated and luxurious and is my first choice every time to bring out the most of the pearl and crystal embellishments we use.  Although the Filigree design looks great in the neutral colours is still looks fantastic in brighter colours. Dusky Pink, Burgundy and even Orange are colours we have made this range in for couples.

We have favour boxes, place cards, table plans and much more which are all made to follow the Filigree wedding invitation with the embellishment and have put a piccie below with some of the stationery items we have made. It is a lovely design and we were even lucky enough for Vogue to feature this design in their wedding special in their October 2011 issue!

We have a Blog!

We have a blog! At last it seems. It has been on the ‘to do’ list for so long that i  had to bite the bullet and sort one out.

I love blogs and love reading other people’s blogs, but it does take time to keep them updated. Along with updating Flickr, Facebook and Twitter, and don’t forget the website, i have have been put off setting one up as i thought i wouldn’t have time to write anything on it ,but i am hoping to update it as often as i can.  As good as all the other social networks are it isn’t the same as writing a detailed piece about our work and what we have been up to.

I hope you will enjoy reading our updates, what we have been up to and just general pieces of info and wedding stationery.
